Basic Principles and Requirements for Providing HCBS Waiver Services


Description
This 2 hour course provides an overview of provider responsibilities, medication administration certification levels, provider certification process, required initial training and where to obtain the training, free choice of provider, and provider certification renewal. It also covers where to obtain required certification hours, written record of training requirements, and professional ethics. The course provides information regarding Medicaid and its tenants, Ohio’s Medicaid waivers, DODD current waivers and the waiver services covered to include specific waiver service definitions. The attendee will also learn about ISP development, person centered planning, self-determination & self-advocacy, provider documentation requirements by waiver, waiver skill development, monitoring/oversight to ensure health and safety, RN quality assurance reviews, and DODD Administrative Rules and waiver billing.

This course counts as 2 CEU’s. At the completion of this course, a certificate will be automatically issued to you and will be saved in your account profile. You can view, download and print your certificate online.
